Common Questions

Panama Mission Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit based in Madera, California. PMF sends missionaries to remote rainforest villages in the Darien and Panama provinces to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple believers, train indigenous pastoral leaders, support local congregations, and help the poor.
PMF serves indigenous communities in the rainforest of eastern Panama. The Darien province is inhabited primarily by the Wounaan, Emberá, and Guna peoples. Nearly all of these communities live in remote villages that are inaccessible by road and can only be reached by boat.
The PMF Bible Institute is a pastoral training center located in the District of Chiman, with a satellite campus in Juan Diaz. Founded in 2014, it offers a 2.5-year program leading to a diploma in Pastoral Ministry. Graduates are equipped to preach the Gospel, plant new churches, disciple believers, shepherd congregations, and train others.
PMF is funded entirely through the generosity of private donors and churches. Every gift helps advance God's Kingdom throughout eastern Panama.
No. PMF is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We partner with churches and like-minded believers who respect the authority of Scripture and are committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
